Are you accredited?
We frequently hear from our customers about the importance of demonstrating our ability to handle matters safely and securely. In today’s world, security is a significant concern for many, and we recognise the value of experience in this area. At Ingenia, we hold several certifications, including ISO standards 9001 and 27001 for manufacturing and data handling, respectively, as well as the Cyber Essentials tick for security. Additionally, our Ecovadis environmental award and ITSO certification further showcase our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality, security, and sustainability. These credentials give our customers confidence that they are partnering with an organization that takes these responsibilities seriously.
How do I get the best prices?
We get it, sometimes cost is all that matters. That’s why we run an exclusive trade portal for our customers looking to save on their stock orders. To become a trade user you can register on our home page. You will then receive, once approved, a special trade log-in to our dedicated portal where you can order direct and save big.
Plastic cards? That’s not very eco-friendly is it?
Traditionally the plastic card industry has not been seen in the best light in terms of environmental impact. We aim to change that.
With our range of products under the PlanetEco banner as well as our selection of alternative substrates we give you the ability to reduce your own environmental impact and support our efforts to changing the industry from within. We even offer recycled cards giving a second life to disposable products at no extra cost to our customers meaning you can make the switch to something more environmentally conscious without having to worry about your wallet.
As a business we also offset our energy use, sourcing renewable power, pioneering recycling schemes and even running low to the ground solutions such as bike to work.
Who do you work with?
As a business we have established many different relationships over the years, from our partnerships with key suppliers such as NXP and Legic to more collaborative dynamics such as our involvement with the Leaf Community and our partnership with Entrust. Whether it’s our own product or someone else’s, across the industry we either start with the best materials to deliver a quality product or simply supply the market leader’s solution. For more information on our partners and brands see the rest of our website to explore products or head to our partner’s sites to see more of what they do.
Are you just in the UK?
Certainly not. While our headquarters are firmly rooted in the UK, where we began our journey, we have expanded over the years to become a global entity with support locations in Europe and the United States. With encoding and production capabilities across multiple continents and localized distribution for regions such as the Middle East, Latin America, and Africa, we bring our products to you. In today’s tariff-driven landscape of supply and demand, Ingenia has the options necessary to navigate global shipping routes and secure the best deals for you.
Do you just do plastic cards?
Ingenia has a range of services that don’t just stop at identity products. In addition to our ID accessories range, access control arm and transport applications we also supply corporate gifts and other bespoke items. We have a dedicated sales rep for managing the production and supply of your custom-made branded products, from notebooks and other stationary to headwear and uniforms we can handle anything.
If you’re a hotel in need of access control cards consider speaking to us about bolstering the identity of your establishment with branded key card wallets, accessories and complimentary items like robes and slippers.
So you’re also a manufacturer?
Ingenia has been manufacturing identification products since the company first started back in 1976! Our founder William Baker applied his engineering skills to produce business cards using plastic cards. The roots of the business have been present throughout our history and inspired the creation of our own range of plastic cards in Fotodek.
Since then we have always pioneered our production capabilities and now we are proud to say that we have an end-to-end process. This means that we manage each step of your product’s journey from the raw chip wafer and are responsible for its quality from beginning to end.
Can you also handle digital credentials?
Yes we can!
Our bespoke data handling platform Octopus can surgically process all of the information needed to develop a digital credential, either as a counterpart to a physical card or completely stand-alone. Not only is our bureau capable of handling these huge data packets but it can report back to you throughout the project and help to streamline your data while saving time and costs on postage.
How do I get in touch to discuss larger projects?
If you have a bigger job that you need a more hands on approach with, we have a team of expert account handlers that we can match to your region and your specific need. These divisional heads know each of their respective services inside and out and can be contacted through a central inbox here: info@ingenia-id.com
Your request will then be picked up by the relevant division head and they will follow up to handle your request personally.
What is the difference between Fotodek and other blank cards?
Fotodek is our own brand of clinically clean blank white cards for use with ALL desktop ID card printers. What makes them better than other blank cards on the market is their quality smooth surface that prevents printing errors as well as their Ice white finish with a cool undertone making them perfect for printing barcodes, text and detail with total clarity.
